Coimbatore: The excitement across the sales and marketing teams was unmistakable as the first week of November began. Everyone sensed that Document360 was closing in on the magical $10 million ARR milestone. When the number finally rolled in on a chilly evening about a week later, we took a moment to simply absorb what we had achieved.

Document360—our fastest-growing product—has now become Kovai.co’s second offering to be fully bootstrapped to $10 million ARR. With this, Kovai.co becomes only the second SaaS company from Tamil Nadu, after Zoho, to scale two products to this level without external funding. It is a testament not just to the product, but to the collective strength, consistency, and commitment of the people behind it.

Saravana Kumar, CEO, says,

This is an extremely exciting time for us at Kovai.co because it’s very rare for completely bootstrapped companies to take two products to this milestone. And to do it in just five to six years, from a tier-II town, is something we are incredibly proud of.

Dedication and Validation

Recollecting Document360’s early days, Vice President of Marketing, Sunil Krishna, says,

I still remember the happiness we felt when the first few leads arrived back in 2019. Those early customers returned, upgraded, and, in time, began recommending Document360 to others. Today, we are no longer just a product—we have grown into a brand.

The journey has required patience, learning, willingness, and above all, heart—which is nothing but you, she said. $10 million is not just a number; it’s a validation of how we work, how we think, and how we care for one another, for our teams, and most importantly, for our customers.

She added that trust in the market was built through the everyday contributions of the team. “This milestone is a sum of thousands of moments of care, creativity, and resonance.”

Echoing Gowri’s sentiments, Saravana who flew down from London to celebrate the milestone with the Coimbatore team in person said:

A great founder once said that if you keep machines in a factory without people, eventually grass will grow. But if you remove the machines and keep the people, the factory will thrive again,” he shared. “That is how important people are in building a product to this level.

New Targets and a Day of Celebration

Saravana also announced Kovai.co’s next goal—reaching $25 million in ARR within the next three years, a declaration that was met with loud cheers.

A company’s growth trajectory typically shifts once it crosses the $10 million mark. Now we know what works. All we need to do is double down on the right approach.

Celebrations began with the entire workforce dressed in shades of black and blue. The morning kicked off with a cheerful cake-icing activity inaugurated by Saravana and the leadership team. While some teammates enjoyed piping designs on the cake, others enthusiastically drizzled generous amounts of caramel sauce, while the more detail-oriented ones placed fresh strawberry pieces at different corners. It set the perfect tone for a day filled with enthusiasm and collective pride.

Next, the team gathered in black T-shirts and jeans to form a human “10M” in the open space downstairs. The formation was captured using a drone, and what we assumed would take a few minutes turned into a fun adventure. We kept reassembling and adjusting the formation until it looked just right from above, laughing through the retakes.

A delightful surprise awaited us when Coimbatore’s latest Instagram and YouTube sensation—the She Unit, an all-girls dance troupe—joined the celebration. Hidden within the formation, they suddenly leaped out and performed an energetic routine filled with themes of victory and determination. Their performance electrified the atmosphere, drawing loud cheers from everyone present.

The day concluded with the entire company gathering in the step-seater for the cake-cutting ceremony. As the leadership team joined hands to cut the cake, there was a noticeable emotional undertone—one of gratitude, resilience, and collective achievement. It was a moment of reflection on the years of effort, experimentation, and unwavering belief that have led Document360 to this milestone.

Crossing $10 million ARR has not only strengthened the Document360 brand but has also reaffirmed the power of teamwork, perseverance, and culture at Kovai.co. And as we set our sights on the next milestone, the spirit across the organization has never been stronger.
