Tell us about yourself.
I am Prabagaran. I have been working as a Senior Design Engineer at Kovai.co. I have total industry experience of over 10+ years and have been associated with Kovai.co from December 2013.
Tell us the story about how you became the first employee of Kovai.co?
I was working in an IT organization in Coimbatore as a Design Engineer for almost 4 years. Through a job consultant, I came to know about Kovai.co.
The story of how I got this job is interesting. I was looking for a job and was checking my emails when I received a call from our CEO, Saravana Kumar.
The telephonic interview happened in the cybercafé itself at around 4.30 in the evening. He was quite OK with me but also wanted me to go through a machine test. I completed the machine test the same night and mailed him the next day morning. Saravana was quite impressed with me and immediately offered me the job.
I realized a Startup environment with a CEO who is technically sound will be good for my Career. So, I took decision which others wouldn’t take easily but years later I am proud that it’s worth the risk. That’s how I became the first employee of Kovai.co
Which products have you worked during your early days and how was your experience?
I started working on our Enterprise software – BizTalk360. Initially, I was handling, UI,UX and also designed the official website – BizTalk360. I was also taking care of corporate branding design as those days, the company itself was named as BizTalk360.
What are the other products you have worked on over the years?
I worked on Serverless360 and Atomicscope for the next few years. Currently, I am working on Knowledge Base SaaS product Document360.
What’s your native place and how do you like Coimbatore?
My native place is Ariyalur in Tamilnadu. It’s known for numerous Cement factories present in the locality. When I compare my native place to Coimbatore, I like the weather here as its much cooler. The people in Coimbatore are also down to earth and kind.
If a Hollywood movie is to be made in your name, whom do you want to cast as you?
I love Tamil movies than other world-cinema. Since I am an ardent fan of Super Star Rajinikanth, if a movie is made in my name, I want Rajini to be cast as me.
Tell us something we don’t know about you.
I am straight forward and will express my views on face to others. That’s the way I have been all these years.
What’s your hobby?
I am not specific about hobbies. I love riding cars and listening to music.
