Kovai.co Expands with Floik Acquisition

This Diwali was a memorable one for Kovai.co, as we acquired Floik—an AI-driven platform that enables interactive demos and step-by-step guides. This strategic acquisition was made with a clear purpose: to position Document360 as a leader in the product documentation and knowledge management space. We’re also thrilled to bring Floik’s engineering team of six, including its founder, Vidyasankar Krishnamurthy, onboard to help realize this vision.

Developed by a team within India-based B2C SaaS company Ping, Floik enables product education through interactive product demos, step-by-step guides, and explainer videos that can be made in minutes. With around 8,000 customers, the platform is well-suited to Document360’s goal of making documentation more engaging and accessible.

Why Floik?

Floik is known for its intuitive user experience and advanced functionality, helping teams communicate more effectively, organize their documentation with ease, and reduce friction in knowledge sharing. For us, acquiring Floik made strategic sense because it aligns perfectly with our product roadmap; instead of taking 12-18 months to build similar capabilities, we’ve gained a team and product already well-established in this space.

Enhancing Document360 with Floik

Floik won’t be run as a standalone product; instead, its features will be deeply integrated into Document360, offering added value for our existing and new customers. Over the next six to nine months, Floik’s engineering team will collaborate with ours to merge their innovative features into Document360. We aim to roll out a beta version by the end of 2024 or early 2025, giving customers early access to these advanced capabilities.
